Gun rights have been popular in the media lately with the Sandy Hook shootings and other such things. And I like guns. This ones gonna be fun.
I'm going to start this one off by saying, I love guns, I want guns, and to some degree, I need guns. I'm a skeptic. I don't trust anyone without them earning it, I like to do risky things, have parties, go to sketchy bars, get drunk in the middle of nowhere with no idea how I'm going to get home. I'm not to worried about that really, I am worried about some maniac pulling a weapon at some point without any warning/preparation and using it to potentially kill someone. Now, do you want "survivors" guilt as you watched your friend or someone you didn't even know get killed in front of you? No. Absolutely not, the worlds mental health is already degrading, I'm not helping it get worse. That being said, I can honestly say I would LOVE to have a gun on me in that situation, if not I'm going in with fists flying and probably going to die because the government decided I'm not allowed to have a gun because some fuck decided to shoot up an elementary school. Who the hell does that anyway?! They're children for fucks sake. What do you have against CHILDREN!?
Making these weapons illegal is going to do nothing but increase crime rate, reduce public security, and skyrocket the chances of people dying from gun crimes. So let the Americans keep their guns with restrictions. People with violent criminal pasts shouldn't be allowed to own guns. People with heavy mental instabilities shouldn't have guns. People with sexually related criminal pasts shouldn't have guns. People with a high risk of suicide shouldn't have guns. It's simple. No violent people, no rapists, no nutcases, and no one that would have the insanely easy access to kill themselves should have guns. CRIMINALS DON'T FOLLOW THE LAWS THEY'RE KEEPING THEIR GUNS REGARDLESS! Don't be dumb. It's as simple as properly educating people from youth. That's why the boy scouts teach that shit. And you can get a hunting license at 12 in some states, I don't think a 12 year old should have a gun, they're not mature enough, but I do believe that a fully capable parent should be able to own a gun and allow that child to shoot it, with the right education and supervision.
My beliefs in summarization, (Ha, that's not a word...) are that it's ridiculous to believe that removing guns will solve gun crime issues, it'll only further criminal power, raise animal population in the hunting states, increase poaching (can't have guns, can't hunt), increase police brutality, increase shooting sprees, and be completely counterproductive to the point you'd be trying by removing the guns. Just don't do it. It's stupid.
